Empowering Black Firefighters and EMTs

The Fifth Quarter Civil Association is dedicated to increasing representation and diversity in the fire and emergency medical services (EMS) fields.

Our mission is to introduce the rewarding career of firefighting to the Black community, inspiring the next generation of firefighters. Through our recruitment we provide mentorship, education, and hands-on experience to youth and adults, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to pursue a fulfilling career in public safety. By breaking down barriers and creating pathways, we're working to ensure that the fire and EMS workforce better reflects the diverse communities they serve.
