At DPLA, our mission is to empower people to learn, grow and contribute to a diverse and better-functioning society by maximizing access to our shared history, culture and knowledge. This includes ensuring that all Americans have access to the books they want to read. 

The Banned Book Club makes banned books available to readers in communities across the United States where titles have been banned. Readers can access ebook versions of banned books for free via the Palace e-reader app.
