Share the Gift of Dance With Local Children

Oyo Dance Company believes that quality arts experiences are critical for a well-rounded education.  Studies have consistently shown that involvement with the arts provides benefits to students across all academic areas.  Part of our mission is making quality arts accessible to children who may not otherwise be able to experience professional productions.  To that end, each year we produce a performance specifically for children and families.

As part of our children's production, we sponsor students from Columbus City Schools to come and see the performance free of charge. Participating schools can request Oyo dancers to come to their school prior to the performance to teach the students the elements of dance and how those relate to "dancing a story."  By sponsoring community children's participation in Oyo's annual production and school outreach programs, you're nurturing creativity, confidence and academic success.
