Living At The Intersections, Inc.
Give to Black Girls, Black Nonbinary Youth, & Black Emerging Adult Women
Founded in December 2022 by Dr. Tyffani Monford, a licensed psychologist and her GenZ children, Mia & Zoe, LATI was created to meet the needs of Black Girls/Emerging Adults, and Black nonbinary youth with a primary focus on those within the Midwest and eventually expanding to the Southeast. The co-founders recognized that there was a dearth of organizations focused on people who looked like them and required services recognizing their intersectional identities. Yet, they did not want to begin another mentoring program as their goal was to have a larger, more systemic impact on the lives of Black Girls/Emerging Adults, and Black nonbinary youth.
In 2025, we are hoping to fully embrace our work.
1. Cultivating intergenerational healing spaces for Black girls and their Black women caregivers
2. Beginning our collaborations with organizations serving Black nonbinary teens and young adults
3. Providing emotional wellness workshops & resources to Black college women
4. Offering college scholarships to those who are within the groups we serve
5. Continuing to educate and embrace programming and ideas that foster our joy
