Empowering Community Resilience and Ownership: MMCDC's 2024 Fundraising Campaign

For our fundraising campaign, Merrick-Moore Development Corporation (MMCDC) is focused on community resilience and ownership. In the past year, we have grown our capacity to support Merrick-Moore’s efforts in strengthening food and housing security for our community.

Your contribution to our campaign, coupled with the expansion of Samuel Green Sr. Community Garden and food forest, will enable us to maintain a welcoming space where neighbors can cultivate community connections while enjoying fresh, locally grown produce combating food insecurity.

Additionally, our focus on housing security ensures we can provide homes in the community with green infrastructure improvements. We value such improvements to assure housing with dignity, and security against gentrification. 

Your support of our fundraising efforts this year will help us continue to strengthen Durham’s dynamic and resilient Merrick-Moore neighborhood.
